By Car: Driving south from Paris or north from the South of France, we are quarter of an hour from the no.27 turn off on the A6 motorway at Tournus. It takes 6 driving hours from Calais to Champagny. It is better to pass via Reims and avoid Paris. If, however, you are arriving from Paris, you need to allow 3 ½ hours. The French Motorway radio station 107.7 is helpful as they do regular traffic updates and every half an hour the updates are in English. P & O Ferries www.poferries.com run a regular ferry service from Dover to Calais – 1¼ hours. Eurotunnel www.eurotunnel.com trains from Folkestone to Calais – 35 mins. By Plane: We are 1½ hours drive from Lyon and 2 hours drive from Geneva. Easyjet is a low cost airline that you can book online at: www.easyjet.com Lyon - Stansted Geneva flights – Bristol Jet 2 www.jet2.com fly from Geneva to Leeds/Bradford and Manchester from Saturday December 17th 2005 for winter sports season. From Geneva, you can hire a car or get a train to “Macon Loché” train station (only 25€ one way) where you can also hire a car or we can arrange to collect you. As Champagny sous Uxelles is a rural area, you do need a car to get about... By Train: From your local station in Britain via EUROTUNNEL, you will arrive in France via Paris at the “Gare du Nord” station. From Paris “Gare de Lyon” station by TGV (high speed train) you can travel to: “Le Creusot, Montceau” TGV station in 1 hour and 20 minutes....Close enough for a day trip! We are half an hour drive from Le Creusot station where you can hire a car. “Macon Loché” TGV station in 1 hour and 30 minutes.
