Lionel (pronounced Leonelle) is French, from Normandy and is a Dental Technician by profession. He creates smiles for people – his words! He lived in England for 12 years but still speaks English with a lovely French accent. Now back in France, he is mistaken for an English man when he speaks French....How does he do it? Lionel loves food and wine and is a great cook.
Amanda is English, from Yorkshire. Before leaving England she worked at Leeds University as a Student Development Officer and is passionate about education. Her favourite pastime is talking, be it to people, on the phone or on the net. She speaks French with a French accent .....hmmm must be the drama training! She knows this area as she landed in Cluny 20 years ago when she came to look after children and so began a love affair with France and especially with this area and the wonderful people she met. Her ambition is to write a book about their experience! In the mean time, she fills her time teaching engineering school graduates in Cluny and also managing house renovation projects
Aimée is animal mad and thinks she has landed in paradise as she is best friends with the neighbouring farmers who have taught her lots about rearing sheep and cows. She spends all Spring bottle feeding the lambs and her ambition is to own her own horse!
Louis loves living here too as he has so much space to run around in with his dog Réglisse (meaning Liquorice). He has learnt to make cement and build walls and enjoys annoying the hens and chasing the cats...He also loves biking down to the fishing lake where his ambition is to catch a carp!
